Great looking cookware, but these enamel on steel stockpots are not the same quality as the legendary Le Creuset baked on enamel cast iron cookware. Whereas the enameled cast irons are manufactured in France the stockpots are made in Taiwan or at least mine were. The 20qt is an ideal size for cooking lobsters and/or shrimp gumbos and such for large gatherings, but its quite large so storage space should be considered. Also I have a microwave over my stove and with the lid on this pot it doesn't fit underneath my microwave to reach the back burner however, it did fit on the front burner, just something to be aware of. After unboxing I washed it in warm sudsy water and because its so incredibly lightweight you'll be tempted to hold it without using the handles. Don't! Big mistake. The enamel is very slick when wet and soapy, it slipped right out of my hand and crashed about 5ft to a tile covered floor. Three huge chips of the enamel one on the handle and two on the edges of the base one of which went clean through to the interior flaking off the enamel. To say I was sickened by this mishap is an understatement. Hadn't even boiled water in it yet and it was ruined. Realizing I'd just spent $140 on what's now probably nothing more than a big planter I wasn't very pleased. I immediately called the retailer (Pryde's they deserve honorable mention) and they're replacing it no charge as LeCreuset apparently has a generous warranty with this product although not nearly as good a warranty as their enameled cast iron products. The retailer allowed me to keep my damaged one as well which got me to thinking what I could possibly use it for. I'm afraid of cooking in it because of the possibility of eating flakes of enamel which can't possibly be good for you LOL, but perhaps it might be still good for brining. I'm waiting on word from the manufacturer on that. Given the cost of this item the ease of which the enamel particularly the interior enamel flaked off, I can't say that its worth the price.
